Project Prospectus

Essential Question:
“In order to produce effective intervention, what does the professional need to understand about Asperger Syndrome?”

Foundation Questions:
1. What is Asperger Syndrome?

2. What pragmatic issues do individuals with Asperger Syndrome demonstrate?

3. What are considered to be normal, pragmatic patterns?

4. Can individuals with Asperger Syndrome learn normal, pragmatic patterns?

Tentative Point:
Someone with Asperger Syndrome is completely capable of understanding and learning new material. It just needs to be presented to them in a creative, modified way.

Genres:
1. Power Point (client w/Asperger’s)

2. Webliography (CD Student)

3. Poem (child w/Asperger’s)

4. Interview (child w/Asperger’s & CD
Student)

5. Lesson Plan (teacher)

6. Pamphlet (Asperger Syndrome Coalition)

Integration:
A Power Point Presentation will be used concerning the views of the client.
